Beef Squash – Jada Kingdom and Shenseea at peace

No Comments News

Dancehall culture has a way of pitting two great against each other. The fans love it. It fuels the culture but it seems with some maturity, many of the Dancehall acts seem to be squashing beefs and embracing each other. Jada Kingdom who earlier this year reached out to Shenseea when she was mourning her mother’s passing seems to have cleared the beef with the Blessed singer.

After years of feuding, the war seems over now. The two female Dancehall artists recently began following each other again on social media. The managers speaking to the Jamaica Star hinted at the end of the feud. Shenseea’s manager, Romeich Major, said his team is all about upliftment. He said with that as their mantra, the team will support any move aimed at pushing that goal forward.

Julian Jones-Griffith, Kingdom’s manager, said, “It’s been a year that puts things into perspective and made us all realize what is important and what is futile in life,” he said. “They (Kingdom and Shenseea) have known each other for many years; they are both super-talented young females in a traditionally male-dominated business so it’s beautiful to see.”

He added, “Both of them are in a strong position to uplift themselves and Jamaica. Jamaican female artistes have to work much harder to get the respect and popularity than their male counterparts so it’s important to channel all their energy into positively impacting their careers and paving the way for other female artists.”

Fans of both entertainers expressed the joy of their feud ending on social media, urging them to work together and collaborate on a single.
