Chronixx & Protoje sell out Alexander Palace 10,000 people strong

Once the date had been announced for the show, everyone knew they had to get tickets early. Well, most people knew because the show sold out very quickly. 

Chronixx headlining the show with guest Protoje had sold out Alexander Palace, 10,000 tickets all gone.

Alexander Palace has seen the great including, Jay Z, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Morrissey, Kings of Leon, The Who, White Stripes and the Stone Roses.

Now it was Chronixx turn to make his stamp. Early warm up DJ sets included ZJ Heno from Empire Sound based in Nairobi Kenya, Allan Brando and the Silver Star Sound.

Once the gates for the venue opened, the crowd rushed to the front of the stage to secure the best view.

 

Protoje graced the stage just after 8pm and delivered a wonderful performance with hits like; ‘Kingston Be Wise,’ ‘Blood Money,’ ‘Rasta Love,’ ‘Flames,’ and much more. His performance was excellent, the Indiggnation Band was outstanding, not missing a beat at any point. During Protoje’s performance, he brought out Sevana, and the UK’s very own WSTRN.

 

It was now approaching 9pm and a quick change of bands offered the perfect ushering in of Chronixx.

Chronixx came on stage to a round of applause from the elated crowd, not wasting any time and jumping straight to business, he sang hits after hits. At this point, all phones were out capturing the moment, drowning the venue in a spectacle.

Belting hits like ‘Capture Land’, ‘Here Comes Trouble’, ‘Smile Jmaica’, ‘They Don’t Know,’ and more. Chronixx sealed the night with a special performance by calling his dad, Chronicle on stage to perform his hit song, ‘Big Bad Sound,’ a precious father-son moment shared on stage to the delight of the fans.

Chronixx other guest was fellow Spanish Town sensation, Koffee, who did her big song ‘Raggamuffin’ . Of course, the night would be incomplete without a Chronixx and Protoje performance of their smash hit, ‘Who Knows’, which lit up the place. 

There were many stars in the audience who came out in support including boxer David Haye, CEO of Downsound Records Joe Bogdanovich, Gary Matalon, Tini Tempah and many more.

Overall, it was a night of joy and love. It just ended too quick, many would later say.
