Sean Paul hits the Billionaires club

Sean Paul is no stranger to international fame, over the years he has headlined numerous festivals, appeared on many TV shows, and continues to set the bar for Dancehall on the international market.


Recently Sean achieved another enormous step for Dancehall, gaining 1.7 billion streams to date on the Pandora streaming platform. This figure place Sean in the same league as John Legend, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, Kirk Franklin, Keith Urban, and more.


“We are thrilled to formally welcome Sean Paul into the elite group of billion spinning artists on Pandora,” Diego Herrera, Senior Curator for Pandora, said in a release.

They say numbers don’t lie and Sean has 1.9 million monthly listeners on Pandora. “I’m Still In Love With You” is ranked number one on the platform.

Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock album which was released in 2003 was the stepping stone from a local star into an international superstar. It had all the templates of what was needed to capture the attention of a wider audience. This album is ranked very highly on Pandora.
